General Cautions

Breast Caress or information on Breast Massage is not intended to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure any breast related disease. Breast massage does not replace regular self-exams, clinical exams, or mammography. If you are concerned about a lump in the breast please see your physician.

For women with breast cancer or post-mastectomy care:

Breast Massage is contraindicated if you have an active cancer in the breast. If you have had a mastectomy with or without lymph node removal or lymphedema, do not massage affected side. Massage of the unaffected side is beneficial using proper lymphatic drainage techniques. Please consult with your physician and a certified therapist trained in lymphatic drainage techniques before doing massage. Do not use oil on open lesions. We suggest using Breast Caress as a sensual oil to be used on other parts of the body to bring you comfort during this time of healing.

For women who are pregnant or lactating:

Our product contains an essential oil that is considered anti-spasmodic and has a balancing effect on the hormonal system. For safety precautions please avoid using product during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Because breast massage is considered beneficial for encouraging milk flow and breast engorgement, we are currently developing a new blend specially designed for women who are breastfeeding.

For women who have undergone breast augmentation or reduction:

Massage of the breast after breast augmentation is often recommended. Please consult with your physician. Do not use oil on open lesions. For post-surgery healing do not raise arm higher than shoulder height.

Shelf Life

Our products are preserved naturally with essential oils, jojoba oil and vitamin E which have antioxidants and antimicrobial actions. In order to receive optimal potency and freshness, treat these products as if they were fresh foods from your kitchen. We recommend using our products regularly and within a reasonable amount of time from date of purchase.

Storage

Natural products are best stored in a dark, cool place away from heat and light. Breast Caress Body & Massage Oil is bottled in dark amber glass bottles to help preserve its potency. We highly recommend refrigerating oil for long term storage and to use regularly if kept at room temperature.

Skin Sensitivity

If your skin is sensitive, easily irritated or you have a known skin allergy we recommend a small patch test on the skin to monitor any reactions. Although rare, some ingredients considered natural or organic can cause skin irritation.
